Yamato Dynasty
Japan's Yamato dynasty traces its origins lower back to 660, making it the oldest non-stop hereditary monarchy in the world.
How old is the Yamato Dynasty?
The dynasty time period is approx between 200-700 BC.
Rise of Power
According to shrine poems ( sometimes called kimi and written with the loosely appropriated Chinese name pinyin for “ great heavenly treasure ” ) were mainly centered around Mount Miwa, the object of writing worship.
They exercised both secular and sacred functions simultaneously. possibly based with Mount deity Miwa.
Archaeological findings suggest, however there was improved agricultural techniques — innovations such as increasing the use of stone tools for cultivation and even improved techniques for leveling and clearing paddy fields.
This Advancement allowed the Yamato rulers effectively to exercise control over significant manpower levels, namely having to construct monumental tombs and to extend the territory directly under their control apart from the capital plain.
By this period, Yamato expanded throughout the entire archipelago and expanded into even the eastern Korean peninsula.
As previously mentioned above, several imperial armies were engaged in ending the warfare between the three Korean kingdoms on mainland peninsula.
By the end of the 4th century, Yamato was a prosperous kingdom settled on in the ya Nara plain with complete control over the peoples of eastern archipelago.
Administration
Heads of community functioned primarily as internal advisors, actively mediating on the disputes between the community and coordinating its deity.
As clans brought together — conquered by conquest — kin relationships began to develop between heads of various communities .
By the 5th century, these ethnic groups, though collectively called uji, were drawn together into economic, military, religious and familial ties with the Yamato kings.
The uji are thought to be direct extensions of traditional agricultural communities.
Decline
The 6th century, in fact, probably represented a decline of Yamato imperial power levels from all of his reign.
There is also a shift of the power, from the old settlement around ka Mount Miwa sometime late antiquity in the reign of Keitai ( 507)
From this reign there was a slight reduction in emperor power.
A large force planned to be immediately sent against Silla, which for example, had begun conspiracy to attach Kyushu province in 527 .
To put down the rebellion forces of a local chieftain , who had apparently managed to raise soldiers troops and supplies for the continental armies campaign.
That warfare on the battlefield eventually officially ended in 1868 alone, possibly signaling to the decline of Yamato power.
The period of the 6th century can be clearly characterized mainly by the growing accumulation of power by local clan leaders and a weakening of feudal power, especially as well as the rise of aristocratic clans.
The 79-year-old Emperor Akihito has reigned on account from 1989 to present day and is, in accordance to legend, the a hundred and twenty fifth emperor in his line, although there's some debate as to the actual rely of emperors.
His seat is known as the Chrysanthemum Throne and sits in the Imperial Palace in Kyoto.
